How to structure a resume that Australian recruiters actually read.
Keep it to two or three pages, in reverse chronological order, with your most recent role first. Australian recruiters skim for job title, employer, dates and site type.
List licences and tickets in their own section near the top: HC/MC licence, White Card, Standard 11, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, First Aid, EWP.
Use plain English and metric units. Translate qualifications into the closest Australian equivalent and describe the scale of the projects you worked on.
Include your availability, preferred states and whether you accept FIFO work. Add contactable references with their role and phone number.
